Head to Umm Al Emarat Park where over 1,000 books are waiting to be found.
The first-ever Neon Book Hunt is taking place every evening from Sunday October 20.
Between 6pm and 9pm little treasure-hunters can use their map-reading skills, LED neon lights and a slew of clues, not to mention some serious detective work, to find the literary works that are hidden in all sorts of unusual places around the park.
Little bookworms will love the adventure, but best of all, once they’ve found the treasure, they can keep the books and take them home to read solo or with mum and dad – can’t say fairer than that.
But its not just little ones and teens digging out and donning their deerstalkers, there are novels for mums and dads to track down too.
And as if a good read wasn’t reward enough, some lucky kids will find vouchers for restaurants at the park or tickets to the Louvre Abu Dhabi hidden inside the pages of their books.
Speaking about the first ever book hunt at Umm Al Emarat Park, Rasha Kablawi, Head of Umm Al Emarat Park’s Corporate Affairs and Communication Department said:
“This event will be great fun for all book lovers. With books for children, teens and adults, we hope to encourage people of all ages to read more. I would like to thank all of our partners that helped make this initiative and our Park’s ethos, ‘education through recreation’, come to life.”
So start sleuthing little Sherlock Holmes wannabes.
